Het suikerrietbord is een duurzaam geproduceerd product en is 100% biologisch afbreekbaar. Alleen een afvalproduct van de suikerproductie is nodig om het bord te maken. Het materiaal is zeer stabiel en robuust. Het suikerriet servies is magnetronbestendig en geschikt voor warme en koude gerechten. Het bord heeft een eenvoudig ontwerp. Na gebruik kan het wegwerp suikerrietservies gemakkelijk worden weggegooid in de compostbak of de bak voor organisch afval, omdat het volledig biologisch afbreekbaar is.
